Project Sanctuary
The mission of the Sanctuary Project is to serve runaway and homeless youth and their families through an array of services designed to prevent, intervene, and at times care for youth in crisis. Through the services of a Project Director, Independent Living Skills Counselor, and a Family Social Worker, Street Outreach Workers, and Host Home program, Sanctuary seeks to bridge the gap between troubled adolescents and their families, build support and communication within the family, and strengthen the systems that troubled youth are most affected by. Sanctuary’s Parenting Skills Program works to provide parents with a working understanding of child development and family dynamics for the stated purpose of improving communications and relationships with the family system.
